NEW CWC Season beginning soon!! Because it's the first meeting of the new "year", there's lots of important business to cover.

A few changes to meeting structure are being implemented. The meeting will be preceded by a half hour of social time, so arrive at our usual room at 6:30 to meet, mingle and catch up on life. Let's shed our introverted writers' stereotype and introduce ourselves to someone we don't already know. To this end, pre-printed name tags are coming back! Be sure to get yours at check-in. There are lots of new members. Please make an effort to welcome them in warm CWC fashion.

Club business will follow our guest speaker, so please don't duck out too soon.

Also, we'd really appreciate your RSVP for the meeting. It's no more complicated than hitting a button--YES, NO, or MAYBE. MAYBE doesn't obligate you to attend, but the RSVP is super helpful in expediting the check-in process and for future meeting planning. Your mother would be proud.

His most recent book about Fred Rogers comes out in October 2019.

GREEN ROOMS ARE RARELY GREEN

Celebrity journalism has unique pleasures and pitfalls. Gavin Edwards has traveled from Bahrain to New Zealand to spend time with famous personalities including George Lucas, Stephen Colbert, and Snoop Dogg. He will discuss his experiences riding tour buses, drinking champagne, and playing skee-ball with the stars--and explain how those adventures made him a better writer.
