Looking to engage with writers of similar interest for peer review, accountability or encouragement? Want to move your writing project(s) to the next level? Or even get one started? You won’t want to miss our annual critique group meeting.

This will be different than past critique group meetings. You'll find more chairs than tables to facilitate lively exchanges as you search for a member or group with similar goals. Finding a critique group is kind of like dating—you have to put yourself out there. Practice your pitch so you can quickly explain your project, and listen carefully to what others hope to gain from you. Discuss what you expect from this writerly relationship and how each writer might complement the other.

We hope you'll find writers you can encourage as well as those who can encourage and challenge you.

Existing groups currently looking for members: Short Story/Novel; Humor/Mixed Genre; Short Story; Screenwriting. Don't see a group that meets your needs? This is the night to form one!

Arrive at 6:30 for a pre-meeting half hour of mix and mingle. Say hey to a new member or seek out a familiar face and catch up on life, or both!

Also, we'd really appreciate your RSVP for the meeting--YES, NO, or MAYBE. MAYBE doesn't obligate you to attend, but the RSVP will be super helpful in expediting the check-in process, ensuring we have enough chairs and for future event planning.

Note: We are meeting upstairs in room 214, not our usual room.
