We’ll talk about poems, and poets. Stand their work against one another, side by side. Survey what distinguishes them in style, imagination, depth, tone, and theme.

We’ll focus particularly on our own style, experience, and technique to write original poems.

Workshop Points of Engagement · Read exemplary poems · Discuss points of interest · Work from writing prompts · Write first drafts

 · Read aloud the drafts · Critique first draft poems · Offer feedback to our peers · Revise the work ·  Explore the art and craft of poetry

 ·  Build on what we discover · and Work in the spirit of community.

Although the workshop is free, only those who have signed up will receive the Zoom link. Because seating is limited, we will enable a waiting list, so if you find you are unable to participate please let us know so we can fill that seat.
